Thanks for sharing your muffler mods ... that's what makes this site great

I'm going to stop short of asking directly for the secret sauce recipe, but are the instructions on P1 right for achieving roughly the sound of the FIIs? Thanks from Down Under.
Did you end up modding yours LotusGT3? I bought a spare set of mufflers today and was thinking of putting a bypass pipe in. Ideally, I'd love a set of Fister 2s, but the AUD conversion and postage costs are pretty prohibitive.

I LOVE my Fister exhaust mod, and the service/advice/friendship that Darin provides is simply the best. The goldenrod/SSK mod isn't too shabby either.

Couldn't agree more, huge fan of my Fister II exhaust and all the support and communication from Darin. SSK is next on my list!

If I was in the US, it'd be easy, but 2x international shipping + AUD/USD exchange rate of 0.66 isn't really viable for me.

Thy bypass pipe, as shown by Darin in pix above, is a simple mod that makes a nice difference in exhaust sound. You won't regret it.

What kind of steel should I use? Stainless or carbon?

Stainless. That's what the 993 mufflers are made from.
