Default New to me Black 993

Having wanted a manual 993 for a while, I finally found one about 2 months ago. After a PPI and a bit of haggling it was mine about 6 weeks ago. Due to work pressure, I was not able to pick it up until yesterday. Fortunately the weather was great, as it is the start of winter here, and had a great drive home to Auckland from Palmerston North via Fielding, Vinegar Hill, Taupo and the Old Taupo Road to Cambridge, Taupiri and thence Auckland.

First impressions (I have had a 964C4 and still have a 944S2). I little more power, quieter, keep forgetting I have a 6th gear, a pain having to go down 2 gears to pass, the offset steering wheel took a little while to adjust back to.

Now the fun starts, of course there are always little things to do.

Yes, I will keep the "SUV" ride height, roads in NZ are not as billiard table smooth as in some countries, and I am quite happy with the ride quality.

Thanks to all on this board for the hours of reading I have done to help me to this point, and especially Macca for his help.

I have added the obligatory photos.

Cheers.

Nice!

I was born in Auckland and lived in Wellington. I had a girlfriend in Palmerston Nth and I can visualize that run from there to Auckland - That must have been sweet, especially the old taupo road. Enjoy !!!!

What a beautiful country! Brings back memories of our vacation there and our picnic at Lake Taupo. I imagine if you ever get tired of any oil smells from the engine you could always visit Rotorua. I think I can still smell the sulfur odor. LOL!!
