Accidentally put in Regular gas
I realized the mistake when I looked at my receipt. I put in 8 gallons of 87 regular gasoline. Would you put some 'octane booster' in the tank or just slowly add a few gallons of Premium in it until it starts to even out the octane rating? It's a first for me

Let's see.........how many of us have done this? Now the real shame would have been if you grabbed the green diesel pump.
Just drive it like a normal car. As long as you're not running under high load and/or in really hot weather you'll have burned a half a tank and can top up with premium. Which I'm sure is 93 where you live. Think about all the tanks of 91 (if that) that we run through out here.

Use this link, and maybe buy some 93 octane without alcohol:

It definitely is better and only about 6c a gallon more than the cheapest station in town. I always wonder how long it will last before not being an option any longer.

Wait don't these cars have knock sensors? If so the worst that could happen is the computer advance or retard the timing or change the fuel trim and the car feel underpowered until the low octane gas is gone resulting in no risk of damage? Or No?

Valve only, not piston? Oh did I make money in the '80s with the 930 crowd who just Had To Have boost *****. More than one came on the hook with the owner depressed claming "but I used octane booster!"
