Welcome, Andrew. You've handled this thread with grace and, as a member, are now allowed to sell. Kudos to you!

BTW, I can barely discern the rolled fenders and don't see why it's a big deal.

True to what I preach, I won't make any negative comments about the car you're trying to sell and will only wish you luck. For some history as to why this is important, please read these posts:

https://rennlist.com/forums/8452606-post38.html

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-for-sale.html

In a nutshell, there is a decorum to the 993 board (despite the brouhaha that ensued in this thread ) whereby, yes, despite the fact that this is a discussion board, if a member is trying to sell something, it's considered bad form to derail his thread and start bashing why you think the color is fugly, you've heard through the PCA grapevine that his car has been repainted seventy-three times, the car has been used as a fish tank in a '90's **** movie, etc.

Here is perfect example of how this decorum is not exclusive to this board:

4. If you have some snide remarks about something for sale, esp the price, keep it to yourself unless the the original poster asks for comments like "is this car overpriced" or "is my car a horribly ugly Frankenstein". If the OP doesn't ask for comments about their item, I will delete stuff like "That's way too expensive", etc.

Anyway, again, good luck with the sale and welcome to the 993 board and Rennlist!

Wow! So much negativity here and generally poor comments, especially about people having to sell cars themselves. I have posted cars for sale all over ebay, autotrader, etc.., and with good success by the way, for several car club members that just don't get the 'internet experience' and don't want to. They are car collectors in their late 70's and they really appreciate what I do for them. When I list these cars for my elderly friends I explain that they will need to speak with the buyers and that I will assist in any way. Buyers do understand this situation. I have had no trouble selling for them.
OP, Good luck with youir sale even though the mass amount of photos almost killed my old computer

Welcome to Rennlist!

Good Luck with the sale of the car, I really like it.

This post is way out of line, asofine was very mature with his "disagreement" with your posts and this is a cheapshot. Not only did you **** all over a new members for sale post, you make personal attacks on another member who is obviously a Porsche Enthusiast here to learn and share his passion of these cars.

GB, I appreciate many of your posts but I think that you should take that one back.

This.

But then again, I wouldn't expect anything else but class from Mark.

I'm not expecting GB to retract that one or step back from his position towards me, so I just try to take it all in stride.

Keep the posts on track. Seems more and more of these are popping up, and it's obvious many don't like it. There is no need to ridicule, belittle, or disrespect one another.
And when a new user, or new member, or even a senior memeber makes what we see as an error in policy, forum ethics, etc; maybe the 993 Forum Police can approach it in a friendlier manner, or just give out a friendly warning.
GLWS !

Just curious, what ever happened to that infamous Turbo S you said you bought but then never showed any pics and never spoke about again?

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-turb...-for-sale.html

That was an equally long thread about a car that seemed to vaporize into thin air.......

Andrew -

Welcome to Rennlist and kudos to your mature handling of Rennlist's equivalent of "hell week". After the torture, the bond among members can be very rewarding and filled with great benefit of knowledge.

I wish your friend GLWS. It is clearly not your typical Turbo and for some, it might be just what they dream about. This might be a great example that not all mods add value.

As for the drama on this thread, it really is not that bad and it does provide some twisted form of entertainment.

Rennlist is a great place and probably one of the better forum communities out there.

Stay on after the sale. It's worth the fun.
