Default Another Carrera Desk Clock delivered :)

As many of you know, I've been creating desk/mantle/wall clocks using the iconic 964/993 dash clocks. In each case, the factory clocks retain their functionality, and could be re-installed for use in a 964 or 993 at any time. Nearly all of the clock mechanisms that I've purchased (100+) needed a trip across the country to North Hollywood Speedometer (cleaning, bezel replacement, dial replacement, etc.).

I've been doing this on & off, when time allows, since 2005. These days, each finished clock is a one-off creation, and each one is made on a request basis.

Rennlist member "wolfgang1" contacted me quite some time ago to make another clock housed within a block of Indonesian Amboyna Burl wood. I finally completed the clock and shipped it to Larry (Thank you for your patience!).

Another winner, Andreas. Your craftsmanship and skill at making these is tremendous; you're like the Unabomber but without the violent streak and long manifestos.

That is classic - I'll need to remember this comparison.

He has copycats, so it seems more criminal. (one I made, nowhere near the quality of Dr Dre's - https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-progress.html )

Andreas - fantastic work again, my friend!!

I need to get one of those for myself and as a gift for my brother. He is a lifelong porsche-o-file, loves he air cooled varieties...but is still porsche-less to date. :-( Also being a designer/architect he would appreciate the beauty of the designs.

I would love to buy one (or two)...but with christmas approaching so quickly - can it be done in time? Otherwise, my neighbor is a carpenter and I'd love to work with him to feebly mimic what you have perfected. Not sure how to do the wiring though. There are SOO many links and posts I may have missed it.
