Why have you painted the roof? You know it's going to have to come off so that you can do the 'double bubble' thing with it

Thanks Harlan ... I only which you could smell this horrible S41T – My garage at home currently smells like a Canoe Factory as does the 993

Hi Graham ... Because I like doing a job twice mate Seriously though this will be one of the last jobs as we're fighting to get a decent quote for the Stamp Press tooling with a best quote at the moment coming in at a monster £20k as the tool will be quite large Might have to look down the middle eastern route.

Anyway I'm off back out into the garage in a moment for some more punishment in the form of FRP and sanding plus some 'ing

Question Opinions on Side Skirts please!!!

OK we want to make the side profile look a little more aggressive and I'm thinking of slightly modifying a set of the Aerokit 1B skirts since I do not think the Turbo front PU will look right on it’s own (side skirts as per below):

^ Above - Pic of PatFat's lovely car. These should work very well with our new vented rear bumper (anybody got a better pic of these side skirts fitted please).

Another option would be to make some side skirts the same as integrated to the wide body 993’s except make them adaptable for a “retro fit” to NB cars. Does anybody have any other thoughts?

I’m not feeling the RS skirts unless used in conjunction from the RS front bumper corners ... comments and suggestions please

Do you need to move the whole grill forward on the engine cover to allow room to tranistion the duck tail slope back down?

Sorry for the arm chair quarter back comments... I'm an engineer by trade..

Snifters
Typically used for serving brandy and cognac, a snifter is ideal for capturing the volatiles of aromatic beers, such as Belgian ales, barleywines and wheat wines.
The LAST thing you want to do with Stella is smell it

^ Scott - An update promised tomorrow with lots of pics etc

The project is well on the way now and I'm just about to go back into the garage to do some more work - basically it's getting there and the interior trim materials have arrived so I'll start with trimming the roof lining in the silver/grey Alcantara this Sunday once I’ve dusted the sewing machine off

^ feel free to relieve yourself below

Hi Gent ... yes it's been a couple of weeks I know without an update and I've been crazy busy including a trip to the Hospital after an episode with the Angle Grinder and electrocuting myself <-- long story

Anyway time for an update as a lot has been done so to start with some pics of the finished ducktail featuring the OEM 993 grill:

^ I’m very pleased with the finished results which really do look even better in person so let’s now see her fitted to the car :

With the ducktail finished along with the rear bumper and before finishing the moulds I turned attention to the front wiring ... something I never look forwards to but all went smoothly including a few repairs along the way:

^ The Porsche 993 Python

And now for the fuel tank which is always a nice easy job:

Now time for the brake rebuild:

And the finished wheels ... I ended up painting these myself with a few Satin Black rattle cans (I'll do a tutorial if anybody wants to know along with the brakes):

Finally yesterday I did my back in pushing the car so could not get it in the garage last night so no progress today:

^ I'll get a friend to come around later after work to push her in for me as back is still bad

Next update to follow shortly including trimming the interior roof in silver/grey Alcatara as I've been buzy on the sewing machine and then we can turn attention to the front

Enjoy the pics and best regards,
Mark
