I'm Marc (mgianzero) from Rennlist. We met at the cars & coffee in Irvine on Dec 3. (I'm #10 in the pic of all of us).

I have a friend who, it looks like, has some pretty serious SAI issues on his '98 targa (85K mi). He's squeaked past last smog test by resetting codes and running it through SMOG before CEL returned a few years past. But now he's due for another smog in March. Pretty sure he needs a top end rebuild.

You mentioned you were interested in doing some motor work on 993 in the area. Are you interested in looking at his car to see if we can get him past smog? He says if he has to, he will proceed with top-end rebuild. Do you do this type of work on the side, or just through Porsche Motorsport? If so, he's be interested in a price.
