I'm a bit confused but that may be because I tried to read through 4 pages in a hurry. I thought you were using an alignment facility in Switzerland, yet Tony's shop is in Manchester.
I love taking it to the limit. You are sick...just like me.
There is only one way to do things.
I would have liked to have seen the steps where the body panels are removed, the body prepped and the new panels installed...the right rear quarter panel for example.
Will you be posting interior pics of the right front inner panel and frame rail? I'd like to see how that turned out.
993 front clip: £800 <-- There is a story to this shortly
Both new front fender: £300
New N/B front bumper: £100
New RS front chin corners: £400
New Turbo front bumper from Germany: £330
New L&R front chassis legs (real bargain on these): £140
News & used suspension arms and rear suspension side panel £700
Used rear bumper PU: £100
Other bits up to now est.: £1500
Estimated cost of parts needed to have the car running/road legal: £2000
^ All of the above are OEM Porsche parts.

You might want to post that pic head on. That angle doesn't make the lines look centered.
Great post. I haven't spent this much time on a thread in a while.

Wow! This will look sensational.
No BS, my friend Hans (Jo-hans) and myself were talking about something similar to this for his 993 after his recent European trip where he saw one of the new SCs @ the dealership across from the factory.

Alex, this is from post #1 :
" I’m very well connected in the UK with such specialists who do the good old “mates rates” discounts (Not sure if I can do this but if I can then I’ll post details to the bodyshop in question which resides on the outskirts of Manchester)."
An amazing project

Hi Akerlie - thanks I will go back and re-read to clear up/edit where need be etc
Hi Alex, if you look at the pic below and look at the badge holes you will see that the stripes are perfectly centred...
Again but blown up so a bit blurry:
... below you will see the offending culprit (me) ... the badge in the picture is just rested in place (not mounted), there is about 2 mm alignment play up-down-left-right - I do promise to align properly
I'll post more pics tomorrow of todays progress - still trying to wash the smell of "GUNK" of my hands

On a separate note I'd be really grateful if somebody could let me know the Part Number for the plastic Zip Ties which fix the wire harness in place below ... does anybody know a "none-Porsche" supplier for these?:
^ I can't find the in PET and not sure of the correct name for them
Many thanks,
Mark

The "repair" included welding (!) an A arm!
The above gearbox issues is not as bad as this pic below from during the alignment of the donor front before then drilling out the spot welds to replace the inner chassis legs, floor pan and front panel:
The total cost from Tony’s side for jig and panel work, alignment, paint came to a very very reasonable £3,500 but did include myself having to do all the prep-work and line-taping, masking etc.
I only hope that there is no crank damage etc ... finger crossed but I bet the LSD is toast, time will tell as I do not have the facilities to drop the engine around the back of my house

Great color combo. When I saw the new SC I thought "wow". Curious about the rear bumper. Sorry if you explained and I missed it but is it a modified stock bumper or a completely new unit made by/for you? Really like it, thanks!

Thanks Roger, The rear bumper you have seen pictures started out life as an OEM bumper PU which I then modified before we take a mould to reproduce - I've still got some fine detail sanding to complete both side ... I hope the below will illustrate how I do this from start to finish:
I'm in the process at the moment of making the new inner rear wheel are liners to mate up with the extraction vents on both sides. The inner's will feature as already mentioned "heat extraction vents on the engine side(s)" to help pull/suck some heat out of the engine bay mainly from the exhaust side cans.

ps. I kept that A arm to show people why they should get used cars inspected before purchase! : )
