Mini jumped the shark on that one.

I agree. The big track, and lose with grace would be the right way to do it. In the long run both marques would come out ahead. Just think of the Ad's that MINI could come up with after they would have lost to Goliath?

I am driving up to Vegas to check out a new MINI S that has caught my eye. I (more like we) have the itch and might have to scratch. I'd rather have a 993, but since I (we) can't find one and I enjoy my current MINI S so much, it's like a no brainer to me. Actually the no brainer would be to keep my current MINI..... Grrrr. Now I am confused, again......

$38,000.00 per second.

capital FAIL for mini.

Porsche handled it the right way.

mini still thinks they they won, even with their car, their course and their rules.

Like I said: since I own both I find the entire deal funnier than dog poop on a stick to a five year old boy, but then I never took it seriously like some folks have.

REALLY..... My daily daily driver is a MINI so just how serious can I be?

Agreed. Porsche wins huge. That wasn't a race course, that was a parking lot. And MINI comes off like a snot-nosed kid bragging about finishing second in a two-car race.

A good piece from Jalopnik. Mini screwed up on that one. Badly.

The winning 997 pilot is a Rennlister. Pretty cool. Good Job Cory

A lot of fun. Huge production crew from la. Helicopter camera. Crazy event.

I think it's cool that it's a "normal guy" driving, but at the same time, don't you think it should have been 2 pro drivers? Who was driving the MINI?

So Mini brought their own Porsche. They should have left it alone when Porsche said no.

I've got a bunch of them I picked up in R Can Saw, but that's not one of them. That's a JoAnne-ism. Made it up all by my lonesome.

Had to think of something special for this MINI implosion.

Funny, I seem to remember dog poop and sticks when I was five! Of course, it didn't stay on the stick for long - it was more of a catapult/slingshot maneuver (or manure if you prefer) and tended to land on people at some point shortly after.

Are you sure your real name isn't Donna...

OK, Donna, you've lost me at this point...

I found this for you though - you may like it. I swear I'd never seen it before a few minutes ago (googled "poop on a stick").

That gave me a good laugh. Throw Rohrl in the cockpit so MINI can STFU
