White WB 993 on 1-5, in accident today, on list?
Passed by on my way home, saw a really clean 993 WB, could be C2S, C4S, or TT. It was hit hard in the back, looks like it can be fixed.
Sorry it happened, hope all involved are ok, & the car gets fixed & back on the road!
For every one else, it rained today, & many, many people forgot how to drive in the rain, due to us having 5 whole days with out it. Many accidents today, happy my cars stayed home.

Yikes. I had a very close call yesterday as well. This was my first close call in my 993 but it sure scared the crap out of me. I was minding my business driving in the far right lane of 99 when a Ford Escort hatch back decided to attempt to cut from the lane to the left of me through my lane for a right hand turn off of 99. His car was inches from mine and luckily I'm not at a body shop today.
I can only imagine that losing a 993 is like losing a family member.

It scares me to no end especially stopped at a stop light and you see in the rear view, the driver approaching and they're talking on the freak'in phone. Will they stop in time?! Too many distractions, not paying attention, and indiscriminant use or touches on the brake pedal causes an alarming number of rear end accidents. Driving up to Oak Harbor (1.5 hours each way) on I-5 weekly, I see pretty much everything that happens.

Happened to me last weekend in Manhattan. The car literally drove into us from behind @30mph while we sat at a red light. Fortunately we were not in my 993, but in my wife's Volvo XC. We had our three children in the back. For all of Volvo's failings, they sure perform spectacularly when hit hard.

Probably a limited amount. Looks like the doors might be okay, perhaps the hood, every other panel is knackered.
Closest I came was a couple years ago at a stoplight on a back road to my house. I came to a stop at the end of the line of cars, then heard brakes squealing behind me, and looked in the mirror to see a high-school kid trying to pull an old Ford Ranger to a stop. He skidded to a stop about 6 in. from my back bumper. He put his head down on the steering wheel. I did too. That was on a Friday afternoon. I quit driving the Porsche to work on Fridays. People are guaranteed to be distracted, fatigued from a long week, maybe already drinking. Can't eliminate risk, maybe just reduce it a little.
