I saw something yesterday that I'd not see before: a motorcyclist texting while driving. Not long before he becomes street pizza. Hope he only kills himself when he does.

That is IT! When I passed I just saw the rear end & it didn't quite look that bad. DAM, it was a nice clean car! I really hope the owner doesn't take taken with the insurance company!

Looking at the photo, i'll bet the crank case lobes that attack the alternater are blowen out as well. Not much meat on that bone.

How about: The mounting points on the engine case that attach the AC compressor look like they have been sheared off. The engine case is junk. Not much left on the engine to salvage.

No,
The lobes that hold the Alternator bands are part of the crank case.

AC compressor mount easy fix.
WTF is an engine case?

Crank-case, engine-case, you know, that thing that sandwiches the crankshaft in the middle that the cylinders slide into before bolting on the heads.

Looking at the photos, he must've gotten PLOWED by a tall car, which sent the right front into something else.

Hope whoever was driving is alright.
