Who here has early sports seats in their cars? When were these sports seats availabe? '95 only? And when did the hardbacks become available? '96?

I have them and have loved them since I got the car in early 1996-I may be wrong but I have never seen any on any 993 I have come across. So they are rare. IMOP_ Also they really keep you in your seat.

Obviously I've got similar X2 with the RSA's. And another set that Kim threw in that were original from the yellow car...........in blue. Plus the hardbacks in the C4S. I've even got some junkers from an SC up in the rafters!
Anyone interested in either the RSA or '95's? Unlikely I'll ever use them in anything.
(Funny that the other silver car the guy in the other thread asked about is likewise equipped.)

Those seats were available from the start of 993 production to late 94/early 95. My 04/95 coupe has the later "hardback" sportseats. This 03/94 cab once owned by a friend has the earlier style.

The RSA seats are the best sport seat that the factory ever made.
I prefer the 95 seats over the hard back ones as they provide a lot more support.
Ken, sent you an email.

Thanks all for the information. Obviously many people really like these seats. I had them in my '87 cab and they were awesome. The upper bolster 'hugged' your lats and the lower bolster really kept your butt planted which is exactly what you would expect a sport seat to do. Not for the 'wide beam' driver for sure.
So, it sounds like they were offered on the earliest '95 cars built in '94 and maybe the first couple of production months in '95 and changed over to the hardback design sometime before April of '95. I'm kind of surprised at how many folks here have them and/or had them in the past. Must have been a popular option for customers that ordered the new 993 cars early.
