Default LF1 Seattle Area Wheel

Looking for wheel... anyone in the Seattle area have a WB rear solid turbo twist wheel laying around? I'll be in the Seattle area tomorrow and my current driver's side rear wheel seems to have fallen in love with a curb... with disastrous results. I warned the wheel, but it didn't listen. If not, maybe it's a sign to start looking into after market rims.

Nollie,
I'm not quite in the Seattle area, but I've got a set of C4S wheels with one cracked rear wheel sitting in the garage taking up space. I haven't thought yet about splitting them up, but it might be possible to talk me into it if you want to keep your solid twists instead of investing in other wheels.

pm me if you run out of local options.

How much are you thinking for the rear wheel?

Do you need to buy one, or borrow one till yours if fixed? I have a WB factory set in my basement with SO3's. But not really looking to sell, they are polished.

I doubt mine can be fixed, a fairly sizable chuck was taken out of the side... hadn't thought about fixing it up to this point I'll have to check into it. Thanks

Try Mark at Aker's here on Capitol Hill. They have all sorts/manner of stuff lying around in their basement. I remember seeing some single wheels kicking around.

As I wait for funds to become available to buy a new rim, or a new set, I thought I'd share what happened the first time I got a replacement. Traveling down highway 18 heading to 90 in Washington I picked up a bolt... through the tire and wheel. 44psi to 0psi real quick.

Maybe that one is repairable...

That was a pretty catastrophic event! I would imagine the wheel balance might be compromised by an attempt to repair the rim. +1 With contacting Mark Aker regarding a used rim.

I received my wheel from Keith today. Superbly packed, and shipped quickly. Thank you Keith, you've made it possible for me to go out and enjoy this nice weather the way it was intended, in a car with no AC and loud exhaust!

No problem! You just helped me start cleaning out the garage! Packing wheels is easy when you get 18" wheel boxes from a tire shop with all the internal padding! The non-scuff wheel hairnet looking thing was in one of the boxes and made me laugh, so I HAD to use it.

Now, does anyone need 2 solid spoke turbo-look twist fronts??? (Not pristine, repainted.)
