There is no reason to tuck your 993 away... ever!

I know, I know...I have been fixing up an investment property and drive the Trooper every day. The BMW 540i/6 went in the garage a month ago and has not been touched.

I will be done at the end of the month...Woo Hoo! Maybe I can get the cars out for once!

Cheers!

I've had two M coupes.. well one was a z3 coupe. Great cars, I want another one as a daily after I sell my M3.

For sure, lets do it! Let's shoot for 3 weeks from now. We can plan it in about a couple weeks.

Little known ancient proverb;

Sometimes, pants are entirely unnecessary

Great looking build Thatcher. I heard that Roberto was doing this but didn't know he sold it to you. I think it's time for another PNW Renn gathering? We're long overdue for one.

Totally agree, we really need to do a monthly thing! Something that rotates places every month.

Thatcher, if we are putting you on the spot, we can all meet up some place else, & if you wan to show us your project we can head on over. I also want to see your rim stash.

Nice build, Thatcher! Would love to see it in person.

As for the gathering, that would be fun! I need to get my car off the charger and blow the dust off it. February sounds good.........

Definitely. We need to figure out a good spot for a GTG though.. the shop where I rent space isn't really ideal for a gathering.

okay time for some updated photos. i've been putting in early mornings (sometimes) and long nights to get this car finished in the near future, and it's paying off. seeing some good results so far.

ready for primer:

awlgrip 545 primer plus awlgrip high build on the parts with bodywork

rolled the car outside for a bit to shuffle things around inside

sanded to 400 and ready for primer:

can't get paint on the adidas!

and finally, base & clear:

Picked up materials to build the kevlar carbon roof today, and ordered my seats from Recaro. Going with silver double sitch leather pole potitions, again. I should have the roof finished this weekend and the car ready for paint in about a week and a half, two weeks at most.

Thatcher,

Impressive work - but 1 question?

What is that rear wing? Doesn't look like a by-plane RS/CS or GT2 or RSR wing?

Simon.

Is that Arctic Silver? Want to do another front bumper?

Lets try to do a Saturday Coffee, or lunch thing. Is anyone up from a Dyno day? I know 2 good places one in Seattle & one in Kirkland.

The Starbucks gathering was fun, maybe we will not have the people waiting for the bus yell at us anymore.
