Excellent progress! You've come a long way since you picked this car up from Roberto. It's time to schedule a local/regional Renn Gathering. Do you have any dates in mind?

THatcher, that's some serious work man.. . Congrats! A few questions for you: Are you using the widebody rockerpanels? It sure looks that way, which is nice . What will the final width of the car be if you compare to a "standard" 993GT2? I mean based on the fact that yours was a NB to begin with and the GT2 was a WB to begin with.. Just curious.. Fabulous work!

Thanks guys

Harlan - lets shoot for late march / early april. if its not a huge group, we should do the Cafe Appassionato in Wallingford. If it's a bigger group, lets do a park.

viggo - the car (NB with flares) will be wider than a widebody by about a half inch per side, but narrower than a widebody with flares (gt2). I'm not really going for the gt2 look, i'm going for the RSR look, which is a narrowbody with flares. I am using the side skirts / rockers

Here's the latest.. my seats arrived thanks to my good friends @ Recaro USA. We did leather with silver double top stitch, silver logo, and charcoal alcantara inserts. I bolted on some of the body panels, cleaned and waxed all four wheel wells, and built a set of 18x9.5 18x11 three piece twists. I've also got a set of 18x10 18x12 Kinesis K28's with slicks coming, they should be here tomorrow. I still have the 18x9.5 18x11.5 RH 3.6 turbo wheels but I put them up for sale, the rear outer lips aren't wide enough for my car.

Wow. I, like the rest of us, cannot wait to see the finished product.

Your wheel collection must be a slam dunk with the ladies.

"Wanna come back to my place and check out my 3 piece cups? *wink*" lol

Haha i can't say i've ever dated a girl who really cared about my wheel collection. If I had, I'd have to re-think the type of girls that I date.

Latest set to come in is the 18x9 18x11 Kinesis K28's. They were supposed to be 10's and 12's but the guy I bought them from measured them wrong... oh well, they actually fit my car pretty well as 9's and 11's. I threw them on Roberto's car just for fun. I thought for sure Roberto would fall in love the moment he saw them on his car, but he has his heart set on finding a set of RUF classics.

I also took apart a bunch of Fikse wheels I had laying around to make a set.. does anyone know of a spare 18" Mach V center, or a spare 18" FM10 center? Or two 18" FM5 centers? Thanks

The seats are Recaro Pole Positions - they are available in cloth, vinyl w/ suede insert, leather, or leather w/ suede inserts. Fiberglass shell, not available in carbon. They weigh roughly 17 lbs without the slider. They will bolt into almost any year 911 with Recaro sliders.. no seat bracket necessary. Feel free to contact me if you need more info

here's the latest..

I installed the carpet kit yesterday and finished it up today. Mounted sidemounts and sliders on the Pole Positions, threw them in the car. I've still got some finish work to do on the interior, but it's getting close!
