I've been out of town for more than a week. Last night I sorted through our mail and found a rather suspicious-looking parcel bearing a Kentucky postmark. Further inspection revealed the sender to be none other than Rennlist's resident expert on all matters, Smurf.
Not expecting anything from Mike, I quickly donned protective gloves and gingerly opened the box. I'm not quiet sure how to describe what was housed within, other than to report that my wife laughed louder than I've ever heard in nearly eight years of marriage...
Andreas,
Imagine if you will, Mike out in the woods tending his still and playing his banjo, sampling every batch of moonshine that comes out. Along comes this squirrel, minding his own business - poor guy just wants to get home after a long day of collecting nuts for the winter. Mike thinks back to Thomas and the famous lamp. He pulls out "Ole Blue" and sets his sights on that poor S.O.B. Bang! I got me one! Off to the taxidermist with his prize. Instead of a lamp he gave it a decidedly Porsche twist. That squirrel thought he was going to spend his winter in the cold. Now he gets to spend eternity in a climate controlled garage watching a Porsche fanatic at work.
We need to see a picture of the wall when he takes his rightful place.
I actually ran over that squirrel in the Smurfmobile. Thankfully I just squished his back half and was able to have a shoulder mount done. The cigarette, bandana and hat just add a touch of class to the joint (or Andreas' garage for that matter). Anyone thinking of doing Thomas, WV next year, you should. The squirrel fiasco started there and continues today. WATCH YOUR NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
