I think they used the new "spray" chrome technology for these cars. It can be put on almost any material and looks just like chrome.

Only one in the states that is Turbo is a 964 from Cali. A black 993 in Dubai, a Purple 993 in Tokyo, and a Blue 993 in Tokyo are the only other turbo editions. 99% of the Tokyo RWB cars are NA for the track.


I will say, I was a bit put off when I first saw the chrome wrapped 993. Reminded me of Dubaii. Although it was only a temporary thing, I learned to like it because I knew the owner and it expressed him perfectly as well as coincided with his other cars (F430, Shelby "Eleanor" Gt500, Cts V, and many others).
