It's 34 dollars, not 14 !!!

I'm going after my hydraulic lifters this weekend. I am planning to drop the engine and transmission and take care of a couple of other items that are easier to service with the engine out.

I am kind of nervous...any words of wisdom are welcomed....

Bob-

Only words of wisdom I have are probably worthless, but

a) good luck

b) label everything

c) don't actually drop the engine... support it w/ something so it can be lowered gracefully.

Helpful, I know.

don't rely on your memory! Do it for every cable or vacuum line...and take lots of pics from every angle.

Have fun! It's very rewarding while you start your engine the first time after a "gracefull lowering"

Remove throttle cable from the pedal instead of from the clip on the engine....

Toga, I think I am using your DIY for this. Thank you!

How do you recommend labling? Masking tape w/ sharpie?

That simple trick alone helped when installing my friend's 993 engine, we got it down in about 4 hours and back in in 5 give or take (time for admiring our progress.)

Bob-

Hey Bob
masking tape is good with permanent marker, and mark the cable and the receiver.
I have a whole bunch of pictures, so if you're stuck somewhere just ask, I might have the picture you need...
But go ahead, Rennlist was my greatest support when I did it. It's full of great people here!

And don't forget to post pictures of you progress. Cannot wait

Thanks man. I appreciate the good wishes from you and everyone.

I'm pretty excited to get this project going. I've done a bunch of relatively minor DIYs and really enjoy working on this car.
