Hydraulic valve lifter

How loud is the ticking sound you hear when suspecting a lifter?
Driving through a tunnel or with a large SUV next to me I can hear some faint ticking but it is relatively quiet

When an hydraulic lifter is getting sick, you hear it when you start your ( cold ) engine.
A noisy ticking comes from the rear !!
It lasts a few seconds then it disappears!!
When the illness is going worst, instead of a few seconds, we can speak of minutes, especially if you haven't drive the car since a long time.
10 minutes last time I drove the car.
That 's the reason why I've decide to do something

Three Wheelin'
Here is a pic of mine I took out of the 4-5-6 bank yesterday. I thought that I would find a collapsed lifter or a blown seal on at least 1 lifter, all of them were in excellent condition.
