My current toys are 993RS and the S2000. I have to say for a number of reasons I have been driving my S2000 more often and it fits like a glove (in fact 993RS sat in garage this year). Just love the feel of the car. Just need to buy the NSX-R and the 360CS to complete my collection (yeah, right!)

Insurance covered most of my loss. I did loose as in gone not replaced by insurance $1000 worth of digital camera gear. I have learned a few things for sure and will continue on my route to happiness. I now have a multi-camera nightvision CCTV/Digital DVR system installed around the house (in a secured location) and a 993 in the garage

Hey Nick,

Sorry about the camera gear, as well. All of it sucks ...badly! But glad you're moving on and looking at the big picture. As for the security measures you've taken, it adds some measure of comfort to be sure ...the best we can do in this crazy town. Best to ya!

I am going to post my VIN plus or minus 5 digits on the car in the next week or so. Wanted to bump just because this thread makes new owners aware.

Letting google know that the Vin is about to be posted. I will string up and devour with chopsticks, the person I find with this car, including bones. But I like the search engines getting ahead of me first. =)

I probably should post that I am closer to posting the VIN # up and some variations. Google doesn't seem to pick this thread up. It is really painful to know that my car was stolen. Infrared cameras are pointed on my current car, bastards.

27 months later...still waiting for the vin. Why wasn't it posted long ago...vin's are listed as a part of car ad for sale, why are you waiting?

Agree. Even 49 months later.

I guess I don't grasp the value of posting the VIN it at all.
I find it sad that someone was able to tow his car out of his driveway, hot wire it and drive off... I have had this 993 for a few weeks now and I still can start it half the time with the key!! That imobilizer thing is a pita.

I guess the OP is waiting for the VIN to surface again. Disclosing the VIN and its association with a stolen car might alert the people involved and that VIN will never surface again... Plausible in my book. You never know. It would be interesting though if this car has been in "hiding" and driving all these years intact with a color change etc...

I had to search for it as we have moved a few times.
VIN#WP0AA2995SS321568
VIN #WP0AA2995SS321568

And what the car looked like before.

Yeah that's why I kept second guessing myself on posting the VIN. But as someone above said it's been a long time coming. I was contacted by someone on here after it happened from a then recent chop shop bust that was found with similar/same types of cars and thought well maybe it will be found that way. But its obvious this car won't be found randomly.
