Car Stolen from Glendale, CA
Tonight my car was stolen right out of the driveway, one of the times i didn't park in the garage. I heard it scrape the driveway, looked out the window and saw it being pulled backwards up the cul-de-sac. Then heard the engine start and floor it away, called 911, and the police just left after taking my statement. This happened about an hour ago. If anyone sees the parts in my sig for sale, please let me know.

I am so sorry to hear the bad news. My brother had his Ford Superduty stolen two months ago from his office. It was recovered 3 weeks later and had some issues but he got it back! I feel for you and hope it is recovered soon. Did you have an agreed value insurance policy?

Believe it or not I don't know how my insurance covers this. When picking the options I just fully checked everything for maximum coverage. I am unsure if I want to see my car come back or not. I had a car stolen and almost completely stripped while in college and it was depressing to get it back.

I seriously wish I knew how any of this happened. The police asked how I knew it was being towed. And I said when I heard the driveway scrape I knew it was my car and looked out the window. I also mentioned how I have the only car on the street that scrapes on a driveway. Guess he was surprised that it woke me up that fast to call 911. I assume they somehow hotwired the car once they towed it away?
I will be going to pick up some night vision web cameras I guess. Obviously my car was targeted, this wasn't random. This might be my final chapter in owning a car I really like to drive.

Wow, verry sorry to hear of this news.
There are two thoughts on recovery -- one is you want it found right away, the other is you never want to see it again. Sometimes a difficult choice.
Best of luck!!

First thought is never see it again. Like I said I had a car stripped in college and that was just sad to see it when the car was found. I really wouldn't mind them finding it today with the people who took it though.

Three Wheelin'
Aw ferrchrissakes!
First Arrwin gets his Arena Red keyed by some low-life ...and now this!
The fact that you 'usually' park it in the garage, but didn't this particular evening/night - speaks volumes. You were being watched - and they took advantage of the situation/opportunity.
This is why, even when mine is in the garage, with the DD in the driveay 'blocking it' -- I ALSO put locks and chains around the wheels/suspension system so that it can't be towed out. (Yeah, I ain't kidding).
This wasn't a joy-ride, so I would be very surprised if you get it back. Someone WANTED this car!
I was told, by my local cops, that if mine is ever taken, not to bother looking for it -- for, within the hour, it's on a container-ship to timbucktoo.
My heart goes out to you, man, it really does.
