Heck, I'm still blushing from when you wrote this on Only1Buck's "request for pics of Azure Blue" thread:
I posted more of his photography on the "Irvine Cars & Coffee: So Cal Rennlisters GTG" thread, & a recommendation of how to say thanks:
If you LUV what you see, leave Chris F. a reply on his blog, digitalDtour.wordpress.com, or 'like' it

"Peter's 993RS"
From Pelican Parts Forum's "Mulholland 'King of the Hill' RSR" thread:
I met Peter Thelin about two years ago. He is from Sweden but lives in China (for business reasons) and is an avid Porschephile. He contacted me because of his interest in Mulholland and he had heard about The Mulholland Experience book.
We have spent some time together when he has been in town. I took him to TRE last year. It seemed to be a good collaberation.
Peter joined the infamous RGRUPPE recently.
He is planning an article for a European Magazine on Mulholland Drive and is gathering info for it.
Two sundays ago he brought his Porsche up to Mul to let me drive it.
He says it is the only 993RS in the U.S. I think he said it was a 1996. He bought it when it was almost new, sold it briefly, and bought it back.
He has had it back for 12 years now.
The day previous he unloaded it off the docks in the LA Harbor. It had just arrived from Sweden.
He is only allowed to keep it here in the U.S. for 6 months, and then back it goes.
Anyway he hadn't called me that Sunday and I was not sure if he was coming up to Mul or not.
When he arrived I had already started Cocktail hour and so I said no thanks to driving, but that he could give me a demo to Grandstands and back.
The car is pretty quiet even though quite stiff. Power is even thru the powerband. Handles flat and even.
Overall a nice road car. It is reported to have 300bhp and it is a stripped model with no heavy undercoating.
We did have a nice drive to Deadmans and back with little traffic.
He mentioned having a few Mulholland meetings this summer and that he would bring his RS.
I thought this might be an interesting idea albeit perhaps not a safe one. lol
I can see it now, in Porsches taking a casual drive to dirt Mul one evening. Oh Boy!
Remember the speed limit is 30mph and it is unlawful to cross over the double yellow line.
Anyone care to join us?

This is an amazing thread.
I visited LA last week after a long flight from South America.
I wanted to drive Mulholland (borrowed a friend's 993 c2s). Needless to say it was a remarkable drive.
I also visited C&C in Irvine for the first time. I saw that car there. Truly beautiful. From what I remember a lady was driving it.

I am an RS / Seedster seat-a-holic; the following photos piqued my interest.
Notice the seats switch place between May 5th and the 12th.
Maybe he prefers the after-market, and she prefers the OEM Recaros?

My friend photographs C&C Irvine on his blog: digitaldtour.com.
On his "A Porsche 993 Carrera RS Club Sport comes face to face with its Doppelganger" entry:

Webster’s dictionary defines doppelgänger as a ghostly counterpart; double; alter ego. These three definitions could not have more accurately described the early morning encounter between these two Porsches…
And with a little jockeying, suddenly the two cars were parked side by side, each representing examples from the highly developed 993 Carrera RS DNA strand. Both the 993 Carrera RS and the Club Sport variants were built to fulfill the homologation requirements necessary for Porsche to produce their ultimate type 993 genetic offering; the full race Carrera Cup car. Powered by a 3.8 liter air-cooled six cylinder motor producing 305 horsepower, these became the largest air-cooled flat six motors to be built and sold by Porsche. And for those who were fortunate enough to attended Porsches Rennsport Reunion IV back in October, you may recognize this red # 9 Carrera RS Cup car as having been one of the competitors from the weekends Group 6 – Cayman Interseries / 911 Invitational races.
The following photos are a brief glimpse of this rare encounter between the two Porsche Carrera RS models…
And just as quickly as they had appeared, with a twist of their keys, both were brought to life and soon departing, under escort from a trio of early model Porsche 911s…

That's all very well, but at the end of the day is the expense of conversion worth it?
I have seen quite a few RS conversions and when you actually look close, they range from 50-85% of the detail, some of the bespoke RS parts are rare, expensive and little to the car....unless you know!
If you buy a real RS, you have a good chance of getting your money back (maybe more?) and you have the real deal!
