2-post lift ****...
I finished my garage project about 6 months ago, and I've worked on all my cars on the 2-post except for the Targa. My 2-post lift front arms were too long to get to the lifting points behind the 993's front wheels. I finally tried reversing the car into position today, and it worked.
Now I can start using that case of Xenit I bought a while back...

Thanks for the offer...the exterior is almost perfect, I need some interior bits to finish it, the interior lower windshield trim, and the plastic covers for both seat hinges in blue. It seems that most cars are missing the hinge covers, and to find windshield trim in new condition has been challenging as well. I just need to spend more time on VWVortex I guess.

Any time I see a Mk1 hot rod I think of this:

I seriously considered a R32 before buying my 993...... But I'm glad I chose the latter. Some day I hope to have both.
Anyway, nice lift! Your Seattle location is noted, as I'm in Mukilteo

Now that I know a 993 will fit on the lift, I'll have to schedule a DIY GTC. Of course with my limited 993 wrenching experience, we'll just be changing the oil or rotating tires...we would need MikeJ to come down for real work...
The only thing I don't have set-up yet are tools. My tool chest is still at my house, and I didn't get an air compressor yet.

I've been half heartedly been looking for a very early rabbit or scirocco to tinker with. I have an early original single headlight grill and the individual headlight trim rings that I've had for years and they yearn for a home
hey 4000 posts! I need a hobby
