H-- Welcome to Rennlist!
What are your thoughts of the pre-993 Speedsters on this page?
Saw your "1990 Porsche C2 Cabriolet Speedster Widebody" thread on the 964 Forum and your "backdated 964 speedster conversion" 911 Forum thread.
Looks like you're getting good advice there.
I started this 993 thread for occasions like this. Thanks to the input of 993 enthusiasts who have posted, there's a lot of knowledge & experience on these pages for you.
Plus, I have a collection of custom air-cooled Speedster photographs I've been looking for a place to post. Time-permitting, I'll share them here for your project!
Consider contacting RLer AMGfan. He started his project in early 2013. The last update he posted on RL was Feb 2014
Hope you two can help each other ... I'd LUV to learn about your plans & to hear how his build's going
Hey I appreciated the support, looking forward to it. The bar is set high with the the other custom long-hood Speedster already done. Hopefully when I am done my project its worthy to be added to the photo collection.
Soon as I have more parts and the car hits the shop floor, will start a build page.

In no particular order, arbitrarily presented in the sequence they are archived on my hard drive.
Some more relevant to your goals than others, but all an example to follow or steer away from
Starting off with this Roadster designed by Gruppo Bertone, Italian coachbuilder and stylist.
Born as a 1965 911, it debuted on the world stage at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show:
As mentioned on page #1, here's the only 993 in the world every 'born' as a Speedster at the factory. It was never sold to a customer, but given to Butzi Porsche (R.I.P.) -- a narrow-body Tiptronic.
I just received the new Total911 Magazine with your red Speedy inside.
These pictures and the story are brilliant. Who is this cool guy with sunglasses behind the wheel?
