The owner explains, that it is one of the three Gemballa ever built. That information is true, two of them are located in Germany, the third one ist placed in the United States. But at the last pictures the car looked different. Has anyone a idea, if it is the same car?
Marc-- The yellow car that's #28 on your registry nor the gray Speedster were likely produced by Gemballa, IMHO. I personally called on the yellow 993 when it was on eBay years ago; convenient curiosity as I happened to be visiting near where it was for sale. I also asked Heinz @ Gemballa North America; he said they never sold or installed Extremo parts on this car.
When it was for sale in Brooklyn, New Jersey by Eddie (seller "carselite") in 2009, as "Porsche 993 3.6 twinturbo Gemballa" item #110354719801; VIN WP0CA2994VS341677:
Then for sale in Michigan by Frank (seller "shoda$") in 2012 as "Porsche 993/911 Gemballa Wide Body Roadster," item #130757192025; VIN WP0CA2994VS341677:
Following pix posted last night on JP's 964 Forum thread, cross-posted here in case they help anyone else looking for Speedster details. These are surprisingly difficult photos to find on the web...
Thanks for that, I've been searching for years for a picture that showed the roof stowed away-sorry for the thread revival!
I always worried that it would take away from too much luggage space as we love our European driving holidays but it looks like it should work out just fine. I really must find the time to go & see 9miester to discuss!

If 3 Gemballa Extremos were built & 1's in the U.S. ^^ please share your source(s), Marc.
Note what this auction listing states:
Only 2 Porsche 993 Twin-Turbo Extremo were built by the company Gemballa; one for the tire company Fulda in black and one for the Saudi King Fahd. The vehicle belonging to Fulda is not for sale and therefore this is the only Porsche 993 Gemballa Extremo available on the market.
Gemballa roll bar with cross protection, Lotec ignition module, K16 turbocharger with intercooler, Gillet silencer Type 993.
Speaking of RLer NineMeister - kudos:
their latest build's featured in the current issue (December) of 911 & Porsche World
Thanks for the thumbs up Jaeger!
