Congratulations to RLer Marc W., who has given a loving home to this Freisinger, & become the fourth RLer with a Speedster type 993!

Marc-- Please post new photographs of your curvaceous car

Marc-- I get the impression you & I share the following...
The first 993 Speedster we ever saw in person was the same exact one.
I think you saw it in 2007, & I flew from the U.S. to see it in January 2008.

Photos I took of it start here on page 10:

Anyone wishing to following in Marc W's tracks & add a Freisinger to your garage is in luck:

For sale at 96,000 € (~$139,000 USD)...

Mobile.de's "Porsche 911 993 Speedster" (vehicle #1820864),
or m-freisinger.de's "Porsche 993 Speedster" (stock #P170).

Speaking of Speedsters being purchased, great news: Butzi's is for sale!
That's right, the only Speedster born as a 993 can now be yours for the asking price of 49,800 EUR (~$71,000 USD)!!!
Even better, the price includes an unrestored 1959 356A
...according to this advertisement & its photography
Mobile.de's "Porsche 911 Speedster:"

Here's another interesting ad with only one meager photo of the item in its title.
At least in this case, it's probably of the actual item for sale, not a one-off owned by a member of the Porsche family:

Heatable glass rear window / top, "Porsche 911 - 993 Speedster-Style-Verdeck" on auto.ricardo.ch.

New pictures will follow in the next week, the turbo-seats and the door-panels just arrived...

The black one was sold in this spring, I found a picture with german OF-number-plates, that's near Frankfurt. It has diffrent rims, but I think it's the same one at his new destination.

The speedster for sale in Austria is not identical with Butzis, they just used the picture of the only original. I think, if Butzis car ever would be sold, the price would be at least 10 times as high as this price. That one in Austria seems to be not really perfect...

Yes! My exact point with the above post: no way no how they can advertise Butzi's Speedster FS at that price ... plus a 356A, too!

Better than this 1977 example advertised on CA's Craigslist

Marc-- Happy to see a PM from you, enquiring about the identity of post #551.
Response on the way soon.
In the meantime: Catch anyone else's eye? I think it's the first time it's been posted on RL.
Photo's background to follow. Curious if anybody already has info to share before I post some?
