Tut, tut - wrong Tacho script! GT3 seats! And missing the covers over the upper seat belt mount! Attention to detail - that's what it's all about hey Jager!

Anybody remember how much Eberlein asking for this on mobile.de?
For reference, the one at the top of the page was ~$143,500 USD.

It was a little bit more when he startet trying to sell, later he lowered the price. About 105T EUR. Was at this time about 140T USD, would be now 157T USD. But think of: he didnt get this, most of the pictures are showing the same car, even the picture of CD (with the N-... license plate; i sat in the car in Nürnberg at Heuser Ferrari and Sport car dealer, at the end the car was offered for about 70T EUR! or less?).

So please, US citizens, dont believe, that a 993 Speedster is parking on every corner in Germany. The small number of this cars are often waiting very long at different dealers to be sold (even if they are pretty cars and well done).

Best regards
Frank

Frank-- Whatta smoke screen! I still have ~30 more 993 Speedsters to post (including pre-993 conversions), & only ~4 of them are in the USA. Other than talking to Mr. Seinfeld about his, the only other Speedsters built from 993s that I've personally touched are in Europe. You're just trying to keep Rennlisters from moving to Europe or raising Speedster prices

Seriously, though, you're my hero: you sat in this 1.
FWIW, it's my impression they produced more of these.

In previous shots, there are different license plates, wheels, badges, stickers, pedals, & what is either yellow-painted seatbacks on one, or very reflective silver paint. That doesn't even address multiple sales. (I have a couple more shots of the above 1 to share.) Regardless, I've been wrong before & will be glad to take your word ... just sayin'.

Hopefully someone more industrious than I will ask Manfred Freisinger & clarify ... e-mail address above.

From the "993 Speedster at Porsche Museum (Restoration Workshop)" thread:

Mobile.de had another for sale this past March. More info & photos on the "Speedster type 993 photo thread," top of page four, & all of page 16.

Featured in JJJMCD's 2007 RL thread "993 Speedster Pictures." Sold Sep 2007. Asking price was 81.558 GBP, ~$133k USD.

Currently, if you click on this specific link, freisinger-motorsport.de/porsche/?lang=uk&site=carsforsaledetail&car_id=53, you should initially see browser page title as "Porsche 993 Speedster." Likewise, as of this moment, its navigation panel at the top left says "FREISINGER > Cars for Sale > Porsche 993 Speedster." However, it quickly refreshes to show current inventory -- it sold. I think its asking price was €95.200.

No affiliation.

Anybody find any new Freisinger photos?
(20 pages to check so you don't duplicate ... but it's a fun trip )

Otherwise, this might be my last

So, besides Gamballa, Extreme and maybe Strosek, what shops in the U.S. have done a 993 Speedster conversion? Automobile Atlanta offers the parts, do they convert as well?

Jon-- Looking at your options for a white one??? We need one here!

To help (as well as answer your question): Dan's still available in the Studio City, CA area.

At least two of his were based on pre-993s.

I credit By Design for this one (more to follow)...

Thanks, Jager, I find that whenever I look at any cab now, I'm actually seeing it as a potential Speedster donor and I think it's your fault I'll call Dan and see what he's up to. Is that who did your cars original conversion? If not, if you don't mind me asking, who did? I'm under the impression from previous posts that you bought the car already converted to a Speedster widebody, then had it gone through and re-done to it's present state by your own shop, is that correct?

I'm just a simple man, making the world a more beautiful place, one 993 Speedster photo at a time. If it becomes infectious, even better

I've asked Dan a couple questions through the years, but have never met him. Neither has Speedy, to the best of my knowledge.
Thanks to a RLer posting the ad here, I promptly acquired the only 993 Speedster I've ever seen for sale in the USA. It was a narrowbody, done expertly & well-appointed. The WB was accomplished in CO.

I don't have a problem telling more details, but out of respect for the magazine(s) that should soon publish, I think I owe them being mum 'til at least Speedy's print debut. Then I'll do my best to address follow-ups. If that seems lame, tell me here, or PM me & I'll name a name or two.
