Default Monthly Recaro seat install question

Sorry for posting yet another Recaro seat install question... but the other posts I found didn't give me the answer I was looking for. For those who have just done a similar search and sorted by date here are some links to the topic I found

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...ur-recipe.html
https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...n-install.html
https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...ns-update.html
https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-be-right.html
https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...questions.html

and of course the pcarworkshop diy:
http://www.pcarworkshop.com/index.ph...caro_SRD_Seats

Here's what I have and what I'm planning based on the above posts and various other threads I've been traveling.

Items to install:
* Recaro Profi (formally known as SPG) fixed back seats
* Schroth Profi II 6 point harnesses
* Recaro aluminum side mounts
* Recaro flat sliders

Plans:
* drill into the tunnel for the inside harness mount point
* drill through floor for sub strap install (some how figuring out what do to with the ECU)
* Mount sliders, which it appears (to make the release mechanism pull up) the side mounts attach to the wide part of the slider (skinny part to the car) as mentioned in one of the other posts
* Keep the 3 point harness for driving around town

Questions:
* How can I mount the inside 3 point harness receptical to the Recaro side plate? Is this done using a bolt and washer through one of the hole in the plate, drilling a new one, or welding something?

Some 964 guys have used this part which might work for you. There is also a Brey Krause piece that is similar.

Credit to Bill V for the pic.

Good Luck!

Your options are :
1. BK side mounts with the receptacle already in place. You linked my install already. I used BK 9076 and 9077 I think.

2. Use a separate BK (R 9005) or RS tunnel side seat belt anchor. The RS piece is in the 1st photo of this recent thread:

3. Drill into the tunnel or drill into the side mount and use a nut and bolt.

Good luck and nice Motons!

!
I think that may be the ticket. Using the part number I found the following thread on pelicanparts http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showt...aro+side+mount where they discuss using the oem and the bk parts. Thanks for the tip

Yeah I kicked myself after seeing your install with the bk side mounts. I already have the Recaros so I'm thinking of #3 or the above mentioned parts. The Motons are hawt! I love the transformation.

Some additional hints
when using the RS tunnel side receiver mount you will also need at least 3(per seat) of the 3mm washers to level the slider tracks, you may need more depending on how many bolts are used to attach the sides and or sub bar to the sliders

At the rear of the sides you will probably need button heads bolts, 20mm seems to work well w/ Recaro flat tracks(factory 944 or 928 manual tracks are lower and may need shorter bolts or bolt up instead of bolt down) M8 will be prefered over M6

At the rear of the BK sidemounts you will probably need to grind the inner edges of the side mount flange, Recaro steel are much worse in this regard, don't know about Recaro aluminum.

Icelettes solution of using the BK 9076 sides looks very interesting
