So do the belts rub along the top of the seat holes when you are strapped in?

Yes, that's the sense that I'm getting

They may but with harnesses there is no real movement which would wear on either the belt or the seat.

With these mounts, slightly modified I could clear the headliner with my helmet on when I had a sunroof.
Did you ever have the Profi w/ DAS installed? Why the BK mounts? Is there an advantage over the Recaros? Did you retain sliders?

Forgive the # of questions, I want to do this right, once

I'm 6'1" but guess that legs are relatively long, 34" waist 34" inseam

Not concerned too much w/ wear, just want a straight run from the shoulder to the bar w/i the 0 - 20* window of acceptable down angle

Bill,

Unless you're going to mount your PPs quite high (which will put your helmet against the roof), I don't think the angles are going to work given your size.

Profi-XL would be the choice re. Hans/DAS geometry, but it depends on how snug a fit you're looking for. Have you considered Sparco? I think the EVO series has a seat fit that's between the PP and SPG-XL, and of course Sparco has been smart enough to use big belt holes .

I'm also 34 waist 34 inseam, I didn't have the DAS bar with the Profi XL's. The BK mounts will let you mount the seat about 1.5 inches lower than the Recaro mounts. I tried all the mounts available, seriously all of them, I can get the BK number for the mounts this weekend. You still have to modify them a bit to get the absolute lowest install, but it is worth the effort if you are tall and want to wear a helmet.

I am 5-10 and have a long torso. Profi XL's mounted to the stock location with no sliders work perfectly for headroom and proper belt alignment with the DAS bar. I found most seats with narrow belt openings positioned the slots below my shoulders. The large opening in the XL's solves the problem.

Bill, the BK mounts are #9062. You have to notch the inside of the mounts to make the seat clear, no big deal. They work the best of all the ones I tried.

Yup, BK brackets are the ones to use if you are tall.

Hutch: Any other modification needed, other than notching the inside of the mounts? Are you using the holes in the BK brackets or do you have to drill holes of your own for best fit?

What sliders are you using? Although BK mounts work nicely with recaro sliders, I've heard that the Sparco sliders together with the BK mounts makes it possible to get the seat even lower...

Bill,

I also used the BK side mounts and had to grind the mounts to clear the rear bottom of the seat (Recaro PP). I use factory manual seat sliders from a 944.

I used Recarco sliders, had to drill some holes for the RS seat belt bracket in the inside bracket.

Thanks to all!!

Looks like the BK#9062 side mounts are the way to go

Porsche manual seat sliders only latch on one side, T/F??

Recaro sliders latch on both sides T/F??

Mike, your interior is one of the best I've seen, that's where I'm headed w/ mine

1) Or you can use other brands with lateral spacers between the seat and bracket.

2) Older ones, yes one side. Newer ones (996) both sides.

3) Yes. Personally I think they're crap.
