9m93RS Clubsport GT2 look: Assembly & Running Gear
We left off with the last thread where the bodywork was complete and painted save for bonnet and bumpers, so here's part two of the build where we start preparing the chassis components and fitting them to the fresh shell. Here's a selection of the chassis aluminium parts which have all been steam cleaned, etched and two-pack painted silver to protect them from tarnishing on the car.

Ah, that would be the other two pack that does not need a hardener mixing in before it's baked....
Marc would know what the exact spec of the paint, all I know is that it is a special single coat silver (ie not clear over base) made by Lechler and is as hard as nails once applied.
As part of the customer specification we are using candy red as the accent colour for the brakes, anti-roll bars and engine anciliaries, here are the parts in the booth after the application of the laquer. Since this is a true Candy Red, it's basically multi-layers of red tinted laquer applied over a silver base followed by a layer of clear. The paint booth lights affect the look of the colour, however this will be a lot easier to see in the photos of the parts fitted to the car which were taken in natural light (I'll post these later).

For pure road & occasional track cars the Variant 3 is the optimum choice, but when the driver demands more focussed track performance at the expense of some road comfort the new Nurburgring developed KW Clubsport suspension package should be their preferred choice.
The Clubsport suspension has adjustable bump and rebound dampers mounted with linear rate race springs and in some cases optional top mounts are available, however unlike the V3, the Clubsport package is not TUV approved. The price is very similar to the Variant 3, in the case of the 993RS the V3 comes in at £1340 (+VAT) against the Clubsport at £1390 (+VAT).

Yes Bill, we have assembled the chassis with all the gt2 evo suspension upgrades including the solid rear subframe mounting blocks.
The engine is definitely not standard Ken, but you will have to wait for the details later. Suffice to say that it will be pushing out well over 400hp on 9m Billet Heads and Motec....
Here is Marc fitting the 9m refurbished Candy Red calipers onto new Porsche discs.
