Question wires from CR-210 to OEM CD-3 changer

Guys - on attached pix, note the numerous fine colored wires protruding from the cable at top of the pix. These wires somehow go to the CD changer in the trunk, and connect to the changer cable by means of the black plastic coupler shown next to the cable at top of pix. Question: which of these colored wires go where (obviously through the connector, but where IN the connector) and how do I attach these fine wiores where they go? Any TSB? I see no DIY data on this.
Thanks.
Charlie

Thats a tough one, cuz I dont see it in the schematic. It just shows a cable, not how the cable is wired. I just sold my CDC-3 and cable to Boston911fan. He should be getting it next week, PM him and maybe he can take a VOM and sort it out for you before he puts in in the car. Either that or you will probably do best contacting Becker

I found this , but I am not sure which model it is for.
Since the CR-210, CDR-210 and I think CR-220 and traffic pro all use the same connections, Again I THINK they use the same connections, (except for the illumination being absent on the early ones) but this looks like the set up, maybe this helps maybe not

Amfab - thanks. The problem is now quite clear - the guy who sold me the pieces failed to notice (or mention?) that the technician cut some of the wires to extract the harness from the hole in the floorboard. Your photo shows this should be intact from the dealer. I'll see what the cost is for a new cable. This is disappointing.

Default Black coupler comes apart?

Perhaps the black plastic coupler (with the chrome end facing downward in the pix at top of this trail) comes apart!! That would give access to solder the wires back to their original spots. An y idea if this is true? I don't want to break the coupler trying to pull it apart.

Hi there, I still have not received the CD Changer--Amfab and I are on opposite coasts. What is a VOM? I like to quote Dr. McCoy from Star Trek at times like these. "Damnit Charlie, I'm a doctor not an electrician!" However, I am going to have it installed by my stereo installer who did my custom system in my Bug. He's one of the top 10 installers in the country, and he may be able to solve your problem. Please let me know exactly what to ask him and I can hopefully be able to help you in some way. Sorry, but I am hopelessly useless when it comes to electrical stuff, but I can give you an eye exam! Keep us posted and drop me another PM!

Volt Ohm Meter. Just to trace the wires–to find out what pins on one end of the connector go to what pins of the connector on the other end of the wire

won't help here since I can't figger out how to take the plastic connector apart to solder the cut wires back where they should be inside theplastic connectir. Need to know how to "open up" the plastic connecgtor. Then I can see the remains of the colored wires that were left behind.

Where did you buy the setup? Any recourse with the seller regarding the 'modified' wiring?

I fear not. Lost the eBay connection. Anyway, the whole setup was - it appears - otherwise not a bad buy, I suppose. I'll have to make sure the changer really works when it is hooked up, of course.

Hopefully you bought it for a fair price - I just sold one w/ bracket for $75.

Have you checked with Sunset regarding the price of a new harness? Might be a better bet at the right price.
