Can't remember the exact date, but it was towards the end of March 2001.
I'm happy to say that my dream car is everything I hoped it would be, and I am as happy now as I was then.
My first Porsche, and the most expensive item I have bought that I couldn't live in!!
Absolutely no regrets.

Can only vote once!

Silver car came my way in Sep '04, yellow car in Mar '07.

Sadly, neither were my most expensive automotive purchase. That honor is still held by my TRUCK.

November 2000. I was finishing college, and wasn't really looking yet, made friends with the seller who held it for me for 2 months while I sold my '88 911. He sent me a lot of pictures on the car, and I flew out to St. Louis to pick it up. We looked at and drove the other cars in his collection; it was almost like I had gone to visit friends. I stayed over that night, and drove it back to Tallahassee, FL the next day. It was the best car buying experience I've had, and it's been a great car!

The Cab I took delivery of new in April of 1997.

The Coupe I bought used in October of 2000.

Still haven't taken delivery of the TT or the Cup Car... All my spare cash goes to the water-pumper.

February 1997, a couple of weeks after my C2 was totaled by a hit-and-run big-rig on the 5 to 710 merge in LA. Thank you Nationwide for the insurance payout that made the 993 possible!

10,000+ miles later and no issues. It's been a great example.
