Dave I also have a 996 cup. I tried all the cheaper stuff that the guys mentioned and found that in the end my best bet was to just buy the VIO POV 1.5 camera ($499.00 directly from VIO) I am not a dealer I not affliated with anyone. It is HD, it is really really good. It is better then the Chase Cam stuff. and it is really easy to download and edit. The cheaper stuff vibrate, the pic quality varies.
As for the mount. I own a metal fabrication shop so I made my own billet aluminum setup that is exactly perfect for our cars. I have made all my buddies them, if you want on let me know it is $200.00. It fits perfectly and does not shake or move at all.
