For Sale: 1997 Carrera S
Guys,
I think that time has come. . The car is still in its winter slumber but wanted to offer it up first to you guys as I know it will go to a good home. Pictures will come as soon as I get it out and about. The car is in Chicago. I would rather it go to a Rennlister. I bought the car with about 64,000 miles, 4 years ago. The car was purchased and lived in Florida the first part of its life. I have driven it only in the spring and summer and took the best care of it. All receipts from time of purchase. I am looking to get in the neighborhood of $38K, but I am willing to consider logical offers.
Please email or PM me with serious inquiries.

I will post recent pics. But so you can get an idea, I am putting up the link of when I bought it. Mind you the ad attached is no longer valid. This was when I bought it 4 years ago. No false advertising just best I can do now. Good news is you get to see the exact ad that sold me.

If this checks out in PPI, I'd say your price is too low...will sell fast. Good luck!

The 997 was okay. Very fast but further away from a sports car to me. Also, I hated the e-throttle that prevented me from left-foot braking because it cut out the throttle. In the middle of corners. Stupid for a Porsche. A workaround is to quickly lift off of the gas, apply the brakes and then accelerate . . . but this is not true left-foot braking, IMO. The next Porsche I get will most likely be an air-cooled one such as a G50 3.2 or a 964.
Oh, I did a brief write-up of the 997 a while back:
