What are you looking for...the Autometrics jacking point?!! Those are no longer made but show up on eBay from time to time, but for the right ridiculous price I could be convinced to part with mine!

A hockey puck works perfect between the engine case and your floor jack. I bought a few for $1 each.

Is this what you want? I have one that is basically perfect. I bought it on ebay and have never used. Im not sure if it works on a 993 or not. Anyway, I will sell it cheap if you want it.

Mark,

No, the one you have pictured is not the Autometrics tow hook/jacking block. Here is a photo of it:

Default jacking

jacking at the engine i know people do this but sounds risky to me, putting a lot of stess on the rear engine support hangar and engine mounts. not to mention if your jack does not roll as you are going up, or if you do not release the brakes and take it out of gear so the car can roll. the rear engine support granted supports the engine but now you are reversing that weight and not only adding the engine weight but the weight of the rear of the car too. not trying to start a long debate, just making a point.

These will be available soon through Robin. There is a batch of 24 made right now. We are waiting to trial fit one to a 96-98 car.

Gotcha! I thought it was a jacking pad that he wanted. That tow hook jacking block is cool!

Chris W,
Do you think there would be any ground clearance problems with these on a lowered street driven car ?

This is the sole reason the toe-hook boss was removed - there is evidence they touched the ground. Although, probably only on steep(er) driveways etc.
