I keep threatening the wife I'm going to get a Triumph Bonneville. I don't know sh*t about bikes, just think one of those would be a great first street bike, something to ride to the office on Fridays and goof around with on the weekend.

Fun yes, but I'd rather drive your car to work with top down! :-)

I miss my cab sometimes...

It did make it look shinier but that is cause there was an oily film residue which of course only attracted dirt.

A quick Google search and here it is under both names

Whenever I see a "miracle product" like this, I have the same two questions: What's in it? Based on the answer, how is it different from the dozens/hundreds of other similar products? 99.9% of the time, it's very similar to other products, maybe a bit better, maybe a bit worse, maybe a bit cheaper, maybe using brand cachet or fake aura of uniqueness to price a bit higher.

So is it a spray wax? a polymer? any abrasives (it does say "polish," but it may not mean it)?

Ive been using the Honda Spray polish for about 12 years now on bikes, cars, and planes. It is by FAR the most valuable tool in my cleaning bucket.

Thats where I like it the most! It cleans brake dust like its going out of style and leaves a nice clean, slippery, surface that deters dust from settling and makes it WAY easier to clean the next time.

The above link indicates Amrep as the manufacturer and patent holder. I'll leave it up to another lister' to research the patent....send a sample to a chemical lab and post the results. I'm going to live dangerously and go on the regular lister's posted endorsements, risk $5.50 by purchasing a can and give it a try.

c993k.....thanks for the post!

I too have been using this stuff for years. I used it on all my motorcycles even my Ducatis. I suggest this all the time.

I forgot all about that stuff. I still have a can of it in my garage from my HD days. Great for removing dead bugs. I'll have to give it a try...

c993k Just curious what rags you use and do you spray directly on the car and wipe off like a quick detailer? I use the meguiars but it always leaves hazy streaks unless I rub the hell out of it.

Does anyone know if this stuff is to be found anywhere on this side of the pond? It sure seems like something I would love to have in my garage . Thanks for the post!

I'm in the chemical business. Manufacturers are required to provide something called a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for all products sold in the US. I couldn't find this particular product using a quick Google search, but you can get a web site or phone on the can - all the active ingredients are listed in detail on the MSDS.

I would be VERY careful putting that on the car! While it might look great at first, it might damage the paint & cause it to oxidize. I bet it has petroleum distillates in it & heavy silicone.

I have some stuff like this that I used on my peddle bike, it really only lasted for a couple of days.

Use a Automotive Quick Detailer, or a OTS Spry wax, there also cheap & easy, just make sure it's silicone free.

No way... no need to be careful. This is nothing new, or a new miracle snake oil.

This is a proven product sold, recommended and endorsed by a mayor manufacturer such as Honda. They wouldn't take any risks if they didn't make the necessary tests on this thing.

As I said on my previous post, I have used it on my bike and all of my cars for over 10 years now without any damage or oxidation. Actually, you look at my 11 year old bike and you'd think it was just taken off the showroom floor, and this is a dual purpose bike that has seen its share of rain, mud, dust, tree sap and all other kind of stuff you can throw at it in the woods.
