IIRC, UltimateGarage organized a group buy here on Rennlist a while back.
Perhaps contact them and see if they have any inventory?

I don't know about those. The base is rather narrow and the lift height is only 4 inches (9 2/5 to 13 2/5)

Sears has something that looks a little more stable with an "integrated" jack

I just like the idea of throwing them under the car and raising from there. I need to measure to see how high my jack points are but still it looks simple. You can get different heights also.

I can assure you that your jack points are a lot lower than 9"!

Actually you'd be #3. Someone else sent me a PM earlier.

Stay away from the Sears integrated jack/jack stand unit.... heard some bad stuff... you can even read some of the reviews on their own page... some folks reported failures that you wouldn't want to get caught with your melon under the car with. Great idea though...

And why is the flat top jack stand such an elusive beast?

In the fall, when I could not find the flat top stands, I bought 1/4" thick steel 3" diameter steel disks and took the "U" shaped stands to a welder. They cut the "U" off and welded the disk on. They then drilled and tapped the shaft with new disk assembly for a large stainless steel cap bolt. I then took a hockey puck which is exactly 3" and froze it (tip thanks to a R'Lister) and then in a drill press drilled a blind hole. The puck locks to the stand via the cap bolt insertion. What is nice is that I can pull off the puck if necessary and have a steel base.

Very simple- $50 bucks at the welder, a couple of pucks and cap bolts.....

Sorry, no pics- they are packed up.
