I don't know about any other P-Cars but... Up until my 95' 993 EVERY car I have ever owned the brake lights work when the ignition switch is in the Off position or when the ignition switch is in the accessory position. My 993's brake lights only come on if touching the brakes when the key is in the On/Run position. I learned this when backing the car into my garage. I use the reflection of the brake lights off the wall to tell me how far back to back toward the wall. One day I stopped short. Got out of the car went and looked how much space was left. Got back in the car and hit the brakes so I could see the reflection, and there was none.

I hate how, when you're traveling at 80 or 90 mph you can't see how many miles you've gone because the stubby end of the speedometer arm covers the trip mileage.

Also, after more than 12 years I still can't figure out how those sliding ventilation controls work. Which way is open anyway?

They're dummy controls meant to distract you from the fact that the car has inadequate heat and air! A very clever ruse indeed.

My heater works great but the controls do seem to do nothing.

Ventilation for the 968 is slightly more confusing, if that makes you guys feel any better.

Because of the finical problems that Porsche was having when they made the 993TT they actually used Monroe shocks in the car. These were prone to fail at about 25K miles.

Actually they were failed when installed on the car.

Early cars had Boge or Sach shocks.

Someone brought up in a different thread that the passenger legroom is about three inches less than the drivers legroom.

The top HVAC slider turns the defroster vents near the windshield on and off, while the bottom slider controls controls the footwell vents. Closed is to the left and open is to the right in both cases.

The AC and heat actually work pretty well.

Go and measure the gap between the fender and a tire,it's different from one side to another.
I can confirm this statement. I had my alignment completed at Brumos earlier this year and was surprised by a difference between the fender gap LR to RR, however, the ride height measurements were spot on side to side.
