Yes, this story is sad. For the remaining family members. And for the four passengers. But the smug-faced driver boasted about 'his' M5 on the BMW forum and admitted driving the **** out of the car. The question remains - why would his parents allow him to drive this missile? On more than one occasion.

Ditto, but Northeast, and not at those times. However, I think we are the exception rather than the rule. I'm sure you had friends or classmates at that age who didn't posses a fraction of your maturity or decision making ability. You would have been fine in an M5, they wouldn't.

...so I wonder if John Travolta is to blame for this then?

"They were all wrestlers and involved in others sports and very popular students, so this is going to hit the North Marion community really hard," Quelland said.
WTF? Too bad they weren't some emo losers who wouldn't be missed, huh?

Better copy those threads now - the lawyers will get a court order and they will be made property of the DA quickly. Probably by COB tomorrow.

here is my two cents.

this is more than just kids and fast cars. A LOT of things went wrong here. here are some that came to mind.

1. why are kids out at 345am??? i went to bed at 10pm every night from the time i have memory until college. if you got more energy to burn at those hours, study quantum mechanics, adv calculus, read shakespear, develop cure for aids... WTF are you doing out there anyways, driving or not.

2. were they morons? driving toward a cliff....? what were they thinking? forget about flying off the cliff, what if another moronic kids out there walking at 345am runs in your way? what if a deer comes out???

3. if i read it right, this is private property? trespassing is illegal....

4. i can go on, but it's pointless.

Well, it's America so they will be sued but these were not minors and as adults they are responsible for their actions. Now if Josh's parent's supplied the alcohol to these 'underaged to consume alcohol' adults then there may be some negligence there.

I just have a 18 month old and her bedtime is 8:00.

you bet i will have curfew for my kids. if you cannot finish your "productive" work during the day, get up earlier. i dont undertstand why ppl sleep in past 8. up at 6 and start studying... kids (fortunate ones) are PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS. they NEED to excel at school that is their JOB.

my 3 year old's bed time is 8pm, and she will do that until elementary school.
