And there you go - it needs brackets for the 993.
I may look for something like this in the future though if I plan to participate in more of the local AutoX's and track events........got to give that some more thought.
Thanks

I don't think their asking price is meaningfully less than that for a new set. I think leather seats w/o brackets can be bot for 1250-1300 if you look hard enough.
Also these seats don't fit everyone so you really need to try them out before you buy. (note: I have a similar version of the GT3 seats)

Brand new fabric GT3 seats with brackets and sliders they are available from Carnewal - Rennlist sponsor complete brand new and shipped for about $3300. David makes a good point - the leather ones are more commonly seen available at similar pricing used. Most importantly - you should try any seat before you buy it. I am 6ft 180lb tried the GT3 seats but found the Recaro SPGXL more to my liking.

Since you live in the lower mainland, you might consider coming down to Seattle for a day trip and visit Speedware in Redmond to sit and try some of the Recaro and other make seats they have in their show room to see what seat you feel most comfortable in.

Hans,
Remember they make getting into and out of the car a pain-in-the-butt. Both Danny and Louis have/had similar style seats and the high bolsters make it a bit of a twisty job to get out. If you are using the car for long drives or DE/AutoX only, but for a possible city daily driver I am not so sure. As well, you are a big guy so you need to try them...the seats are typically narrow.
Cheers,
MIke

As a point of reference...
I'm 6'1", 215-220#, broad shoulders and large legs, glutes. GT3 seats pinch me in the legs but are pretty good in the shoulders. Recaro pole positions are snug in the shoulders (but theres room) very comfortable in the legs and butt area. GT3 seats with the large harness openings fit a wide variety of people harness wise, pole positions with the narrow harness openings may not work for taller guys as they are on the low side, they "just" work for me.

6'1" and a bit more hefty have no issues with the GT3 seats in my C2. No real problem getting in and out although you do need to grab the A piler to do so. IIRC the Cloth are rare and FVD charges more for them than the leather. You will need brey krause adapters if your tall to adjust the seat about $166 a seat and the 996 rails will work in the 964/993. The $1300 per pair price is for Chinese Carbon Fiber knock offs. I hear their very nice but have no proof how they would hold up in an accident.

So I'll be looking at merging the GT3 back and a Recaro pole bottom seats
One of the biggest issue I found when doing an AutoX last year is that there simply is no space between my helmet and the roof sitting as low as I could in the sport seats. Yes I have the sunroof.
Okay - I have to try them all out. Got to go for a nice cruise down to Speedware in Redmond and check with the local guys.
