A tasteful, unmolested, one owner, low mile Targa in great condition isn't easy to find. How would you have felt if you passed on it? Would you have been happy to let this one slip through the cracks, roll the dice, search for several more months/years in the hopes of finding an asking price $5k lower? My guess is probably not.

Keep the car a long time and you won't have any regrets!

Defects I identified: wheels rub, seat control intermittent, targa wind deflector not functioning properly, condensation in headlights and rear reflector, dirver door panel screw hole cracked, small area of paint rubbed out on spoiler from contact when closing, needs new front hood shocks, heating system fault codes (cleared by my mechanic, have not recurred)

What sold me on the car: I probably paid a little more than I wanted to but it was a local car that I was able to evaluate personally and with my mechanic (cursary, not a PPI). The fact that the top end was rebuilt 10k miles ago vs a car with a unknown history did it for me.

I took the targa wind deflector apart last night and fixed it. Thinking of just disabling the switch now.

Tried for a 933 but was unavailable, 2Sylable has been retired to the wall. . . .

Replaced the bearing for the rear wing gear, easy fix, only issue with this 993, love the car and it works perfect in every way even after 5,000 Miles from LA. .

This car had all the right stuff including a new steering rack, pulley update, strong engine no valve guide wear, everything works. Although it's not "rennlist" ready. So walrod bushings, short shift kit, t-lock keyless, rs mounts are planned. Already completed are the stone guards and H.I.D. Lamp upgrade, and fabspeed x pipe.

Nope, the car is legit. Owner just wanted to sell it. I have already heard of those stories where somebody was in the right place at the right time. Now I have my own to tell.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a polar silver targa w/ 111k.

Extremely clean working top with good ppi. Was owned by service manager at Porsche dealer so well maintained. I'm at 24k. No rebuild on the engine but has newer clutch and euro suspension.

Seem like an ok deal or should I hold out for lower miles?

Personally, i wouldn't sweat the miles as much as the condition and service history.
