Depends on where it is in PHL, but I would recommend Posssum Hollow Motorsports in Phoenixville. Bill boys has worked on air cooled p-cars for 35 years and knows them as well as anyone.

Important to note issues known at time of purchase
1) Needed a clutch and rear main seal
2) Unknown paont history. The entire car has been resprayed except the roof. No damage can be found, PO# 2and3 advise no knowledge of paint. Several things lead me to believe it was painted by original owner for some unknown reason.
3) Alignment severly screwed up. Burned up a new set of tires on the drive back to NH.
4) History from PO #2and3 good, no history from original owner.

NOTES:

Although the car was set up to be used for HPDE, it was never tracked due to owner's circumstances. Original aero parts, seats and cat included in purchase. Compression test indicated 195-205 for all six. I didn't do a leakdown based on strong running condition. Car was corner balanced and very well maintained by 2nd owner.

First post - this is a great thread - I just purchase a 97 993 targa silver black on black interior with exhaust package white guages all original 30,300 miles one owner at least a 9 on physical and mechanical. No body work very very clean. Love it but seems I may have overpaid???
