I have read that 993s came in some fairly unusual exterior paint colors. Does anyone know where I can go to see how many cars for a particular model and year were factory painted in what colors for U.S. (not ROW)?

No numbers but this is fun to play with. Scroll down and select Porsche - you can see the standard and optional color cards (I assume) from the sales paraphernalia.
