I have heard this but have never confirmed it? And if so...what parts....Any thoughts?

No more so than Boxsters or Priuses.
The valve guides are hand made from Play-Doh.
And the transmission assembler tried to make two gears fit where there should be three.

According to some sales brochure...there are a couple of ladies sewing leather seat covers in Eastern Europe...I'm pretty sure they were using their hands...
