Got mine from DDM. Great product ie plug n play, but CS leaves a lot to be desired. Getting a live person on the phone can be a real trial of perseverance and patience. Overall I would buy this kit again.

just installed DDM HID's for both headlights and fogs. Both 35w, 4500 IIRC. My first night drive was a very short one last night, after my initial headlight readjustment. I'll be going on a longer drive tonite, and adjusting them up just a tad. I completely disassembled the headlight guts to dremel out the bulb socket to allow the HD bulb to fit, then clean completely. So maybe that explains the way out of wack positioning of the lights when reinstalled.

Very impressive brightness, and illumination, pure bright white

Both kits delivered(with slim ballasts)were about $91 to my door, standard H1, and H3 kits.

I have purchased 3 sets over the years, all off eBay. the original ones I got were about $120, then the continued to go down. I think I paid somewhere in the area of $50 for my last set in 2009, that I have in our Sienna.

I have not had any problems with any of the ballasts or bulbs since I installed them.

Many have had good success as noted with the DDM units. I believe Vertex also carries HIDS kits.

My DDM kit is pretty new and I like it. Inexpensive an an easy install with a DIY on this forum.

Through reading this thread though seems like the light color may vary by brand a bit. The 5000 DDM's are very white with almost no hint of blue. Reads like the 5000's in other brands could be much more blue.

Not to mention that everyone's eyes are probably a little different as well.

Dremel, clean up, etc? Is that just on the DDM? I have a Vertex kit on my cab which was pretty easy and didn't require any such drilling/filing/dremeling. I was just seeing if there was anything newer/better.

I have DDM HIDs, and didn't have to drill/dremel anything. The bulbs fit just fine.

Ok, so finally after almost 2 years one of my DDM HID ballast went kaput! Both bulbs are still good. Not bad considering I only spent $45. Now I'm thinking about stepping up to the Morimoto kit. I have this in my DD Toyota, and it is a very impressive kit. Fit and finish are excellent.

Got mine from Gert. 3 1/2 years and 36k miles (many of which were driven at night) and they're still going strong. Couldn't be happier with my choice.

The T-Light kit has of course the correct connectors for hassle-free installation as well as the possibility of using the halogen bulb as quick-fix spare.
Cheers,
Tore
