It doesn't reset your post count, I just was more reluctant to post with my full name. Especially after someone sent me a private message (with 1 post) asking questions about the wheels on my car.
Leland, I did the same thing as you. I was a little green on forums, rennlist being the first forum I ever registered for and didn't think much of using my full name.

A bit OT but - this is originally an older post - whatever happened to Leland Pate (founder of the LPMM) and Robin Sun (RSR mufflers)? they were valuable contributors here and haven't heard from them lately!
and as to my name - I keep asking my mom but no good answer yet!!!!

Mine is fairly difficult..... maybe a little abstract..... yell out if you need a clue..... although USER can have other meanings.....
Some of your names are very interesting though.

When I was a kid I remember it was my first hot wheels car.
Back in the original msn dialup days, I chose rsr91128 as my personal email address.

Obvious, I would think when you pronounce each letter and number by itself.
I came up with it long before personalized licence plates came out and when they did, I couldn't afford one being a student.
I wanted one for my then Suzuki RG 500 Gamma motorcycle on which I did accelerate at the time, and one for that Porsche I was hoping to own one day.

Mine references a different distraction in my life. I have cars, but i also have dancing. Interestingly enough, I teach both.
To break down the dancing part, in the world of Swing, there are many styles. I'm partial to Lindy Hop and West Coast. The Savoy Ballroom in NYC was where the popularity of the Lindy Hop skyrocketed, and one style of Lindy is called Savoy. That's the "savo" part. Then, Dean Collins took the dance across the country, teaching it as he went. The style developed from a circular motion to a more linear motion which showed better on the two dimensional movie screens. Since Dean was in Hollywood, two instructors back in the mid to late 90s started calling the style Hollywood. Dean's style of dancing was actually known as West Coast Swing, but there's a modernization of what Dean did. But, to call to the original, I took the wood from Hollywood.
Hence the handle, "savowood".

I'm an audiophile as well as a car nut and owned a pair of Martin Logan CLS IIz loudspeakers at the time I joined Rennlist. A few of the user names I initially came up with were already taken and I wanted something a bit more unique than my real name, so I took the 'logan' and 'IIz' portions of the speaker name and came up with 'logan2z'. The only downside of this choice is that everyone assumes my real name is Logan, which it's not ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

When I was a kid I had for years a great aquarium at home which sometimes drove my parents nuts when it came down to maintenance and energy cost.
The fish which I had was tropheus moori. A group of around 50. One of the most interesting species especially for group behavior and dynamics.
That's it.
