If run number 3 occurs, I'd love to be on that list!

If you have a 240V/battery-powered version (preferably in white to go with my 993TT), please sign me up for round 3!

cesar,
I've added your name.

pedsurg,

I already have you on the waiting list from this batch. I will let you know if one becomes available.

urban_alchemist,
I've shipped versions to New Zealand, Scotland and England. In each case, the recipient used an A/C adaptor specific to their electrical requirements. As long as the A/C adaptor put out a regulated 12v, all is well. The unique aspect of these clocks is that they continue to function exactly as they did in the car. As such, any of the clocks I've assembled could easily be disassembled and the mechanism plopped into a 964/993. Converting these to battery movements or otherwise is not in the cards for me. It's just a hobby when I can find the time

If I can find a source for a nice quantity of functioning clocks, I'll do it again. This may mean some sniffing around for a European source. Any thoughts?

Andreas,
Just got this email from my friend Peter who got one of the round 2 clocks:

"just got a small box, I had forgotten about your 'watch your mailbox' email though.. I had no clue who Walter was from MD.
I opened it and saw the clock and just about had an orgasm. It is pretty sweet. now my porsche bug that I have been having bad since Petit LeMans just went into MAJOR OVERTIME! Ahhhhhh!!!!
d*ckhead !
seriously though, thank you very very very much. I am going to have to find you something awesome for christmas. It is going to be hard to get something that cool but I will defiantly try. Thank you very very very much. "

Put me down for 1 from round 3, there's someone else I know that would love one.

Keith,
I'll add you to the list. I would really like to make another batch, but am having a really tough time finding the mechanisms in quantity. If another run happens, it will be a while. But I will keep everyone informed.

If it happens again, I'll make as many as you need (within reason...).

I heard back from Sunset and the absolute lowest they can go on new clock mechanisms is $399 - each! Retail from Porsche is well north of $500. So I am left searching for used specimens.
