Just saw this thread for the first time. Gawd, it suck! BTDT! My Euro Pros respray ran about $6k, but that was part of a larger repair job. My car was down for 6 mos. and I was so angry by the end of the whole thing that I was sure nothing could make me feel better. But when I got her back, she looked better than new and my sour mood evaporated immediately. You probably can't add a clear bra for a few weeks after you get her back. The paint needs to fully cure. Just drive carefully for that time.

mr. bock ~

i commend your willingness to share such a painful experience w/ the group here... fwiw: i could hardly stand looking @ the pics... but still i had to.

thank God no one was physically hurt.

i will take heed & when i do get the killer jack i will be sure i have a double high ceiling & or figure out how to put a limiter on the tool to avoid such a mishap.

x1000 for this post & your humor.

ps: then again, guess i could always stick to the sears jack as calvo said.

Attention all ships at sea.....and now for an update!!!! It will be the insurance companies that battle out who pays how much. In the mean time I have received a check to get the repairs started. I suspect there will be additional hidden damage that will be covered. I will be getting with the Body Shop to get this moving forward. I am looking to do a sunroof delete to get cleaner lines, save some weight, and maybe some money???

I hope to be back on the road maybe the end of October (this year)!!!! Lost out on a summer of autocrossing...

I hope to get pictures up as this healing process continues.
