Hi RacerBice,
Thanks for your compliments.
Its a work in progress ending shortly. Since those pictures were taken have lifted the front suspension 5mm now sitting at 127/128mm front L+R and 110/111mm Rear L+R. RS spec is 124/107mm +/- 10mm so Im in that range so dead on RS spec + 3-4mm on half a tank. I found under 124mm front caused too much bump steer - especially on a full tank with 80lb of luggage up front. The new settings work just right while keeping the rake angle correct....
Cheers

Tim.
Thats a sweet sister!
Any idea on your height settings from chassis points? Its sits nice. Im thinking ROW sport minus 10mm.
RacerBice if you want to read the in depth on my car there is a long thread called "self gratification with pictures" on this board. It shows the transformation over time albiet it its probably 6 months and a few dozen changes out of date (ill rectify later in teh year when the project is finished with a new thread).
Cheers

Yeah. Sounds right. Im a tad lower again. I made a similar mistake.
What alot of folk dont realize with mainly a street car is if you fill the tank, throw your weekend bags in the front, a bag in the back seats and your wife (girlfriend or mistress LOL!) in the passenger seat youve just dropped the whole thing by 4mm at the front and maybe 1-2 at the rear.
Its the front geometry which feels that height change the most. As soon as those lower front arms start to move off parallel axis you notice it in fast bumpy twisty roads. Ive had to play around with it three times now to get it just right. The car now sits 124mm at front and 109 at rear loaded ready for a weekend with tyre pressures at 36 psi. Front tyre pressures at 20 psi vs 36 psi made almost 3mm difference to chassis height at front. Tyre profile and wheel offset also change the "optic" look of how high/low it really is. Talk about trial and error - at least the fronts are reasonably easy to adjust...

Again, really impressive images.
In fact, I am in the market for a dark-coloured 993 myself. I've found a wonderful, 20K mileage C2S kitten here in Sweden, in vesuvious grey (mirrors, bonnet and door handles in steel grey), and with RH split rims similar in design to your Kerschers. It looks like it will become mine, and I will of course post it here. But I still reckon that albeit a close call it's not quite as sweet as your midnight blue. Awesome!
BTW, what width and offset are you running on your rims? And tyre tread width....?

RacerBrice.
That vesuvious edition is what inspired the steel grey highlights on my car obviously. Sometimes the vesuvious paint almost looks midnight blue! That sounds like a very mint car with such low mileage. Mine is over 70k km. The RH rims are very similar to mine perhaps a bit heavier and a little softer.
I am only running 225 & 265 width on my rims (this was factory spec for 18"). The rears could do with 285 as the rim width of the kerscher is 10.5 inch - however I elected to be on the safe side because I was going close to RS height with the PSS10 (rubbing issues given the aggressive offset at ET 57 on 10.5) and also because of the LSD (didn't want to create more understeer) . In hindsight it looks like I could probably just have fitted 285s but Im still not sure.
Tyre width is easy to find in the specs tables for the tyre on tirerack.com - I looked these up before purchasing. I fitted Bridgestone RE11, The table gives the tyre width and weight. They were heavy but good value and almost like a dot rated but good in the wet too...the new Michelins are nice and probably cheaper in Europe than here...
Hope that helps.

Macca,
Yeah, those RH's really aren't the ticket for this car. Heavy and soft is precisely my concern, so I will try and persuade the seller to include in the deal those optional 18" turbo rims that the car was delivered with from factory. And then I will eventually have something else fitted, which is why I've gone through this wonderful thread in its entirety.
Well, I guess I should stop talking about the car as if it was already mine. I am still waiting for an authorised Porsche dealer to confirm that it is indeed fitted with the stock 300 HP power up-grade that the seller claims it has. Otherwise, price is on the hefty side.

It sounds very much like another RLers car that was traded in Belgium recently, he had RHs on Vesusvious with 300 bhp upgrade kit. He didnt have 20k km tho. It had sparco bucket seats and RS door panels. Nice car and the inspiration for some of what I did.
I looked at two 300bhp upgraded 993s over the years. Both times neither had any factory paperwork or any supporting invoices. The delers swore the were 3.8 litre upgrades but wouldn't sign my solicitors letter of guarantee. Apparently its very difficult to tell...
Best of luck with the purchase.

Btw, that low mile 993S vesuvio keeps popping every so often in Sweden. And now again on the market. Was never advertised with 300PS though. If it is the same car of course but doubt there are many low miler Vesuvio with grey int in Sweden?
