I think there's plenty of room in the 911 "line" to offer a sort of "classic" ... they could literally go on calling it the 993, put that badge on the engine cover and have it in the showroom beside the 2012 991 and price it about the same.

I think SAM_0230 is about as good as it gets.

Darin -
The GT3 replica's (18" et 54 etc.) look fantastic on your 993 cabriolet, the light blue mettalic exterior color fits the cabriolet profile.... Come clean, who makes these non standard size 18 inch 996 GT3 replica wheels. Are these replica wheels widely available?

I think i've found a wheel (other than the stock 993 types) for my '98 993 C2S.

Come clean...

I'm in the same boat - the Cup II wheels (had the chance to order the 18" turbo twists) look great, classic even. Don't get me wrong there are many, very nice wheels on the 993 thread..

Who's making the replica GT3 (18") wheels on Darin Fister's blue 993 cabriolet though? Real OEM GT3 19" wheels would be to tall for my liking.

Wheelenhancement.com has the various GT3 replicas. Solid company.

Other wheels like the 18" Fuchs are mentioned in this thread. I'm leaning towards the Fuchies -- very nice in black centers on Polar Silver Metallic. All it needs then is big brakes and carbon rotors. : )

Looked over the wide visual Wheel Enhancement site and couldn't find a GT3 replica in an 18 inch fitting... that was several weeks ago. I'l have another look.

Oh yeah the Fuch's sports look great... on the somewhat rounded 993 coupe body.

I'd call them and they'll make sure of the offsets and intended tire size, brake clearance, etc.
